This beautiful and warm grey stone from Italy is a gorgeous focal point in any setting. From floors and walls to fireplace and tub surrounds, Silver Travertine makes a striking impression in any commercial or residential space.

Quarried from a region in Italy known for both classic cuisine and architecture, this sedimentary stone is formed in hot springs from calcite, or calcium carbonate. Long voids may be found due to bubbles of decaying plants and animals from millions of years ago. When cut against the bed, Silver Travertine can exhibit a linear vein pattern that’s particularly striking.

Travertine has been used for buildings since ancient times. Today, it’s used to make bold design statements in modern decor. It’s popular in spaces that lean toward the contemporary, but it’s definitely at home within any style.
