White Countertops are Still Red Hot

Last winter, we reported that white kitchens were one of the top trends predicted for 2017. Now that spring is here, we can tell you that this trend is in full force and shows no signs of slowing down. White countertops are one of the most popular color choices, and we have some amazing new whites for anybody working on a kitchen or bath remodel.

Why is white so popular? Well, one reason is that it, quite literally, goes with everything. You really can’t go wrong pairing any style or color of cabinetry with white countertops. Another reason is that white feels clean and fresh. And those are great adjectives when describing the area where you’ll cook all of your meals and probably spend the most time. Not only is white associated with cleanliness and health, but it’s also a very marketable color—an important factor for those thinking about resale values.

If you love the look of fresh white countertops, there are plenty of choices available for you. But don’t pick your material based on looks alone. You’ll want to think about how you use your kitchen and how much time you are willing to spend on cleaning and maintenance. Luckily, there are gorgeous options available on every end of the material spectrum, from breathtaking natural marbles and granites to durable manmade quartz slabs.

For those who want the warmth and allure of natural stone, you’ll find amazing choices at Marble & Granite, Inc.  Our White Spring Granite from Brazil is one spectacular choice. It fits in beautifully with any décor scheme.

Fantastic White is another choice that’s, well, pretty fantastic!

When it comes to white marble, you can never go wrong with the classics. Calacatta Gold  and Bianco Carrara  from Italy offer the sumptuous glamour of this timeless material.

If you haven’t done all of your homework on white marble, you may be surprised to learn that there are some top-notch choices available from right here in the U.S.A. For example, Calacatta Lincoln is a beautiful marble quarried in Colorado and Imperial Danby comes from the largest underground quarry in the world just up north in Vermont.

If you love the look of marble and granite but worry about stains, cleaning, or maintenance, then one of our engineered surfaces may be more your speed. Frost White and Fiji White are two solid white colors from Color Quartz. Iceland is a cool pattern with more of your typical “quartz” look to it. But there are also options like Statuario Venato and Calacatta Novus, which are designed to look like authentic marble.

Iceland ColorQuartz offers more of the traditional “quartz” look.

And finally, if you’re looking for something that’s really unique, check out ultra-thin Neolith. These super slim slabs can be used as countertops, flooring, exterior walls, furniture, and more. Just like quartz, Neolith comes in solid white colors like Arctic White as well as those created to mimic natural marble, such as Calacatta Neolith and Estatuario
