This gorgeous white kitchen located in the Boston metro area was recently featured in the Lifestyle section of the Boston Globe. It’s a great example of how white has become the new standard for neutral designs, and it also happens to feature some beautiful marble from Marble & Granite, Inc..
When the kitchen of this 20-year-old home was ready for a renovation, the owners worked with Scott Bell and Susan Schaub of Theo and Isabella Design Group. Together, they collaborated with Custom Architectural Kitchens in Wellesley, MA to create a welcoming, warm kitchen design that blends in with the traditional styling of the rest of the home.
The owners wanted marble countertops. But they were a bit leery due to marble’s maintenance requirements. They looked around at manmade materials, but ultimately came back to marble, selecting a beautiful Danby Marble with just the right warm tone the owners were looking for.

The beautiful white Imperial Danby Marble from the Danby Marble Quarry in nearby Vermont is paired with a marble tile backsplash, which adds texture but keeps the room feeling light. A thick walnut top on the island gives the space just enough balance between light and dark. The result is a timeless kitchen design that’s casual, comfortable, and elegant all at the same time.

Here at Marble & Granite, Inc. we often hear our customers express the same skepticism when shopping for marble. But once they are reassured that maintenance isn’t as scary as they initially think, those who truly love the timeless beauty of marble often stick to their first choice. Our website offers some helpful information on natural stone care and maintenance that may be helpful if you’re thinking of marble for your upcoming renovation.
